Rusty MarlinWhat town are you in? I've lived in Rochester, Cortland, Locke, Old Forge. I love NY, would love to go back, but between the friggin' gun laws, and Billery....

CollinsIn Syracuse... The gun laws aren't too bad yet. but they're working on the BMG ban and then I'm outta here!

Ben589High 60s to low 70s here yesterday and today. I think it was in the 80s on Monday. It's been sunny and mild all week.

Ben589I've got a nearly 6 year old son who's never seen snow and has no concept of it.
He's seen it on a few TV shows, but I still don't think he grasps it.

CollinsTo be honest when I got out of the USAF and was leaving the UK I did a lot of research on Syracuse... 12 murders a year, good schools, good hospitals, big state parks. But, and I'm being very honest here, I thought the 180" of snow a year MUST have been a misprint for 18"
I was wrong... I got here 3 weeks before the blizzard of 93. 48" of snow on a Friday afternoon.

Be careful, don't hurt my feelings!! The good news is that we have more Indians than you... Bad news is that they own the casinos and are getting even with us.

I lived in Riverton in the late 1970's - ice box was a place to get a sunburn then... Darn that was one cold place. Summer was on July 12th that year.

SkibumNotice the other blue over West Michigan. Our last sunny day was 11/19. Today is forecast to be the 14th in a row with 0% sunshine. It sucks.

Ben589My wife's from Michigan (Fenton).
She's told me repeatedly that the winters up there were drab and terrible things and everyone gets all down and depressed and it's like there's no color in life anymore.

Don't leave before the '06 election for US Senator!

( and all you transplanted New Yorkers in other states blame us who stay behind for Hillary?) VOTE! (instead of running) (BTW, Collins, I particularly blame you upstaters for electing her because you guys bought her story about "listening" and that she would "help" upstate NY. It was the upstate NY vote that has elected her - not the NY City liberals. I bet she is already at work on you guys up there. ( To be honest, I don't blame her for playing you like a violin. Anybody who moves to Syracuse and thinks there won't be snow almost daily must think that the Adiroundacks are WEST of Syracuse and block the "Lake Erie effect") (Just kidding - but please hang around to help us get rid of this woman)

Ol` JoeWest I69 near me was closed for spell yesterday morning due to an ice caused accident and I75 was iced last night when I left work for home. Nothing like a 50 mi commute in a Michigan January.........
Tailgunner I need to take a hint from ya and crash closer to work. Then again retirement up there in gods country might just be the better choice. Hhmmmmmmmmm

If there were ANYONE even close to her as far as polls go, I'd register as a DEMOCRAT so I could vote against her IN A PRIMARY... I'm the owner of a veteran owned small business MANUFATURING ARMOR in New York. I’ve been to her office (in DC) several times trying to get her to help me PROVIDE ARMOR TO US TROOPS! I’ve received NO assistance from Ms. Clinton. I’d also like to remind everyone she IS on the senate joint armed services committee. (where’s the disgusted avatar when you need it!)

We Americans were tired of being thought of as dumb, by the rest of the world. So we went to the polls in November 2008 and removed all doubt.....let's not do it again in 2012 please.

I have nothing to say by way of a joking response. I am just simply appalled! Lord knows that if I were a younger man I would leave the state - and I was born here and spent my life here - but I hate NY today. How did we end up with pols like this? I wish you the best of fortune.
