Why I need to leave NY State

I used to live in New Jersey, now in west Texas,boy could we use some of that moisture!
It's so dry here even the fish have ticks!
We're having wild fires all over and every thing is as dry as tinder, along with high winds it makes for a bad situation!

I've got a nearly 6 year old son who's never seen snow and has no concept of it.

He's seen it on a few TV shows, but I still don't think he grasps it.

To be honest when I got out of the USAF and was leaving the UK I did a lot of research on Syracuse... 12 murders a year, good schools, good hospitals, big state parks. But, and I'm being very honest here, I thought the 180" of snow a year MUST have been a misprint for 18"

I was wrong... I got here 3 weeks before the blizzard of 93. 48" of snow on a Friday afternoon.

My wife's from Michigan (Fenton).

She's told me repeatedly that the winters up there were drab and terrible things and everyone gets all down and depressed and it's like there's no color in life anymore.

West I69 near me was closed for spell yesterday morning due to an ice caused accident and I75 was iced last night when I left work for home. Nothing like a 50 mi commute in a Michigan January.........

If there were ANYONE even close to her as far as polls go, I'd register as a DEMOCRAT so I could vote against her IN A PRIMARY... I'm the owner of a veteran owned small business MANUFATURING ARMOR in New York. Iâ€™ve been to her office (in DC) several times trying to get her to help me PROVIDE ARMOR TO US TROOPS! Iâ€™ve received NO assistance from Ms. Clinton. Iâ€™d also like to remind everyone she IS on the senate joint armed services committee. (whereâ€™s the disgusted avatar when you need it!)

I have nothing to say by way of a joking response. I am just simply appalled! Lord knows that if I were a younger man I would leave the state - and I was born here and spent my life here - but I hate NY today. How did we end up with pols like this? I wish you the best of fortune.
