This is a true story but on the humor forum because it is too numerous. When the Aids epidemic hit in the 80s everyone just knew it was a gay disease, so why were all these macho Mexicans coming home south bringing it with them? I listened to the broadcast on NPR when the Mexican general of health made the statement, "In Mexico we have a saying that the difference between a straight or gay Mexican is 2 beers." Well he lost his job of course but it was amusing to say the least.
