"Dad, is it true that in America, the Democrats are against the Republic, and the Republicans are against democracy?"

As I see it,only the former apllies.Hardly fodder for humor but then again ,why not? I love my nation but the powers that be are a truly BAD joke. (not like the USSR,right?)
