carpetman1Headline
An Aggie (Texas A&M students are Aggies)journalist wrote great stories, but his headlines were too big to fit in. A big story broke and the editor called in the journalist and told him he was giving him the story but he needed to write shorter headlines. Seems a mental patient had escaped from a mental hospital and raped 16 women that night. Aggie wrote the story and his headline was NUT,BOLTS,and SCREWS

Grizzly AdamsMany years ago, I was driving in the local town, when I came to a crosswalk, where an extended line of students and their teachers were going somewhere. Must have been a hundred of them. I had an open roof I was working on and rain was forecast, so I was understandably in a bit of a hurry. Think the little bastards would let me through ? I just eased my way up and went on my way. Next thing, a cop, friend of mine , shows up and I get cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian. Went to court and lost. Headline on the front page of the next Olds Gazette, Mentioned my name in capitals and FOUND GUILTY. Lot of laughs over that one.
