A man sends his three sons off to college and tells them that he will pay for everything and that they will owe him nothing. All he asks is that when he dies, they each put $1K in his coffin. They graduate and each becomes successful in his own career. One is a doctor, another a financial planner, the third a lawyer. Years later the father dies and the sons draw near the coffin. The doctor places 50 $20 bills in the coffin. The financial planner steps up and puts 10 $100's there. The lawyer steps up and takes out his check book. He writes a check for $3 grand, scoops up the $2,000, and wipes a tear from his eye. Don't laugh - that attorney is probably your representative in Congress!
