Yeah,Buddy was one funny guy. A conterporary of Lenny Bruce back in the day.You might remember a routine he did in the 60's where he was a chinaman,put a rubberband around his forehead to sqwint his eyes.He did a gig in Frisco + the chinks almost killed him when he exited out back.Beat damn near to death because he "insulted their people"Some folks can't take a joke.

I was at one of his performances in Las Vegas. He was rolling the crowd, many of which were there from a Southern Baptist Convention (or some similar church deal, this is a true story but I forget the details after 30 years or so).

He picked a nice looking middle aged wife type out of the audience sitting by the stage and leaned over to her and said, "I know you don't say these words but if you did, would you prefer "fuck" or "shit". Long pause and she quietly allowed that she'd prefer the latter. He said, "Well, I like "fuck". After all, I don't want to roll over to the wife in the middle of the night and say, "Let's shit."

The crowd, including the lady, lost it.
