Idaho SharpshooterSeveral years ago the University of Idaho came down to play Boise State football. A couple of them had a couple drinks, okay, ten or twelve, the night before, got drunk, and stole two bicycles from in front of the bar. They got arrested
Boise State had T-shirts made that said "Real Men Steal Cars.".
I miss those days...

p dog shooterThere is another bike theft vedio out there where the bike is hooked to a cable and cabled to a post or tree.
After about 30 feet the bike stops short and the perps go flying over the handle bars.
Funny all the perps in that one are black also.
Cold we be seeing trend

BricePlease forgive me for stating the obvious, but the bike owners are likely more at risk of prosecution than the thieves.

TCLouisI know the one he gets in a fight with is NOT black, (been a while) but I think others are too.
As much as I had liked the roped bike, I like the electrical discharge better.
Their only legal salvation is that the perps were steeling a bike and so prefer to just let bygones be bygones.
My bet is those stealing the bike would win in a lawsuit!
Love that Applied electricity.
I had one that demonstrated the theory of conductivity.
Will see if I can find it and post in a new post

NormanConquestOne of my customers in the HVAC trade was concerned that thieves might try to steal his tools out of his Koenig bed,so he hooked up a neon transformer to his truck (100,000 volts). I told Claude that he would kill them he said "Good, damned thieves deserve to die). I agree to a point but I know that the law does not. Here is the crux of this tale,2 days later, the crazy woman of Georgetown with her pack of 50+ dogs that roamed the streets came by Claude's house. He happened to be at the window at the time +got to see this dog hiking his leg on the truck + also the blue streak that ran from the vehicle to the dog. He hit the deck, belly down, crawled for a bit, fell over again,ad infitum until he rejoined the pack. Ever after that when the mad woman would walk down that street, that one dog would go to the other side of the street until they passed Claude's house. For some it only takes one lesson.
Never mistake motion for action.

Statements like that and that it is a fact, is what is wrong with America.

Next thing, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will be complaining to Obama.

I don't think so. Securing a bike with a cable is not an active means of injuring someone. Jerk steals something, then he or she is responsible for their own actions.
