The sad part of that is that the media overall has taken it upon themselves to create the news, rather than report the news.
And some of that claptrap is outright lies, I have too assume that the media like some politicians assume if they repeat the lie often enough that the American public is willing to accept it as truth

Over 50 years ago, one of the editors for the Commercial Appeal (Memphis)and I discussed how with a few changes in word choice, an article can totally change its perspective.
