carpetman1AGGIE JOURNALIST
Here in Texas, we have Texas A&M University. The students there are called Aggies. There are lots of Aggie jokes here that would probably be Polock jokes in other parts of the country. There was an Aggie journalist that wrote great stories, but his headlines were too long. The editor of the paper told him he had to write shorter headlines. A big story broke. A man escaped from a mental institution and raped 12 women one night. The Aggie wrote the story and the headline read: Nut Bolts and Screws.

Ol` JoeReminds me of the sign I once saw in front of a small maintainance shop: "If it has nuts and screws, we can fix it"

carpetman1Another true story. Outside of Austin,Tx is a predominantly German community of Pflugerville. Back in the 60's they had a very good football team and a quarterback last name of Peters. They had a big game and were worried about it as Peters was sick or injured and would be out. They won despite this and the Austin paper headline was Pflugerville Wins With Peters Out.
