Reading about 'bread - it's a killer', reminded me of a local radio talk show that discussed (for 1 hour):

We have to fix the education system which has 25% of the students in the bottom quartile.

And these were three adults in age from 30 to 60 years all with a college education!


But that's not much different than haveing 'poverty' defined as the bottom 1/2 of the lowest income quartile. It was updated to the bottom 3/4 of the lowest income quartile.

Now we have the discussions on how to eliminate poverty!
