I sat as did millions of other americans, and watched as the government underwent a a peaceful transition a year ago.
At first, I felt a surge of pride and patriotism as Barack Obama took his oath of office.
However, all that pride quickly vanished as I later watched 21 Marines in full dress uniform with rifles fire a 21 gun salute to the president.
It was then that I realized how far America's military had deteriorated.
Every damn one of them missed the bastard!

Yip, and since their departure ;
garbage collection is a nightmare,
sewerage overflows are more than common { lovely in the summer heat }
the Department of Health is bankrupt,
the Department of Education is a shambles,
thousands of SA citizens have died of Aids related problems without any access to arv treatment,
the Minister of Security's wife has been arrested on charges related to drug trafficking,
government departments and muncipalities cannot qualify or quantify their budgets and their spending,
and now the big talk is to nationalise the mines and the banks. The list is endless. Hurrah for the comrades!!
