There are thousand of different light bulbs ?
Save the burned out ones for your dark room.
Do you need a permit to perform the task ?
Do you need special tools ?
Do you need a uniforum ?
Do you change the bulb before,during or after sex ?
Your right Mike the simplest task can turn into a major none productive debate.

Is that a Match lightbulb, or a Game lightbulb? I have been using Match lightbulbs on game for some time with good results, but have been told by some that they are not designed for game and will blow up on occasion, giving poor results.

1 German poster to tell us he hates American light bulbs.
1 Arab poster to tell us the whole light bulb industry is controlled by GWB and if it weren't for GWB, none of us would ever have to change a bulb again. [Roll Eyes]

Well, one thing is true, when the 8/9 thousand members get thru, the darn light will truly and completely have been changed! Of course, the socket will be loose, and have to be reamed out to the next larger size, in all likelyhood. Heck, might as well rebarrel it!!

Yeah, but if you went to a "custom" bulb maker, it would cost more, be more valuable and would require a 3 month wait....only to find out you were sent a 40 watt, when in fact you ordered a 30 watt instead. Imagine that!

Old & Slow

I know all the manuals say 120 volts is the maximum but I have put 135 and even 142.5 volts through them without any "too hot" signs and it still isn't hard to unscrew from the socket. And boy does it really put out the light.
Me too on the Leupold makes the best bulbs. [Wink]

I didn't know we were discussing field tactics of the US Marines in battle, NitroX.

BTW, I recently obtained a classic porceline socket that I want to fit to a 60W Frosted. Does anyone have some real good load info so I can get 150W Clear performance when I need it? Overkill??

Personally I only save and use the old style porcelan sockets. I find the new plastic ones to be difficult to work and of inferior quality! derf
