First Fishing Trip

26 June 2015, 6 miles south of Key West, Florida.

My wife grew up there and loves to fish. Me, not so much. Rainbow Trout is about it. I agreed to go on a one day salt water fishing trip with her. My first

Below are the results.

The one I am holding is a 38.5" African Pompano.

The others include an Amberjack, Black Fin Tuna, Grouper, Mullet Snapper and various other snapper. Many other snapper not shown.

We hit our limit, 10 each, of Yellow Tail in under an hour. The Tuna was landed on 15# test. The African Pompano hit on what I would consider an oversized fly hook.

Great day for 6 hours on the water. All the fillets came home to the freezer and the Pompano is being mounted.
