I got a cal from my brother yesterday who is honeymooning in Cancun, until today. He had just got off the boat and said he had landed a big Wahoo measured at 51 inches.

He's not a particularly avid fisherman, apart from when he gets the opportunity so he was quite taken when people started saying it was really big and the other skippers started taking interest. He didn;t get it weighed though.

I think he got the dimensions to be able to get a mount done if he wants to.

Any idea what the rough weight of the fish would be at that length?

If you had the girth I could get you pretty close with the fish weight formula.

I would guess he is in the neighborhood of 50lbs. I caught on that was about 63 inches that was about 70 lbs.

Regardless, he is a nice fish!!!
