Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

I have a 80 lb thrust 24 volt MinnKota Riptide on my 20'5" center console bay boat. Thrust is plenty adequate for my boat even in our notoriously stiff afternoon winds down here.

The bowguard shock absorbing mount and fiberglass shaft really work as advertised. I've had it for over 2 years now and love it! Even if you aren't running in salt waters, the extra corrosion protection of the saltwater motors would tempt me.

Have fun!
