Last Fling at Old Bungasarman
This lake does not exist anymore. It has become a new townhome development as Bangkok spreads.

Have caught plenty of fish here so I went back in March 2017 as they were closing the lake down and moving the fish to the New Lake Bungasarman.

Some pictures

Great food and super cheap - sub $3

Moving fish

More Mekong catfish

Too big to lift

Will write a follow on report on New Lake Bungasarman from December 2017.

Just getting ready to leave Thailand. Do you catch a lot of fish there?

I've fished Bo Sang near Chiang Mai and caught 20-30 kg fish until my arms about fell off.

Yes - I fished the lake in Chiang Mai. Nice and cheap but the fish are small.

Bungsarman is in another league.

You can go directly to new lake - the taxi ride will be very long, hire a guide and rent crappy gear to catch fish.

Or call Tap and get driven there in his nice SUV, given good gear and catch a lot of fish for less $$.

The lake is amazing. You need good gear to full enjoy it.

I have fished it on my own and tired after 2 hrs.

I fished with another client of Tap and had a blast over the day. The Siamese Carp at the new Lake are amazing - same fish as old Lake they just started biting at new lake.

I also took a shimano Stella 10k loaded with 65 pound power pro braid to help ease the fishing a bit.
