Snow leopards have to be one of the coolest critters on the planet. I would love to have one as a trophy.

Years ago, one of the Navy vessels I was on pulled into the port of Vladivostok, Russia. That's in the southern part of Siberia straight across from Japan. I met a guy there that had spent his entire life hunting and trapping. He offered to take me out for wolves with the possibility of Snow Leopard. Unfortunately, the ship wasn't in port long enough for me to take him up on the offer.

To this day, I'm not completely sure if the entire thing would have been legal, but one thing for certain, it would have been a hell of an adventure and it would give me the right to tell some hellacious stories. But, it simply wasn't meant to be.
