yeshi Nick
thanks for your reply. well it seems there are not enough oryx left for hunting over there. i hope they can restore the population, because begining with a few examples for breeding is not good due to interbreeding , i wish them good luck. it would be no hunting on them for near futur.

D99If there was ever a place where tigers will be hunted again it's in Africa.
I used to know a few folks that had Bengal tigers on their places.

Eland SlayerProbably the best place here in Texas to hunt an Arabian Oryx would be either the 777 Ranch or The Patio Ranch. Here's the website for
The Patio Ranch . Scroll to the bottom and they describe the Arabian Oryx hunt package. It costs $11,600!
When working in Saudi I ran across a large government wildlife refuge south of Riyadh that was set aside as Arabian oryx habitat. The government was quite proud of it. Don't know how many animals were in it? Also saw a herd of about 6 wild ones in the Atlas mountains in Algeria. The hung around for 3 or four days and were very impressive. This was in the early 80's so not sure how many remain there either. Sure hope there are some left.
