Eagles in Construction
You've all heard the warnings about keeping away from eagles ,people , noises etc, etc. Well my friend was working with his 'dozer this weekend , near a creek .An eagle appeared directly accross the creek and watched him .The eagle only had interest in the project ! When my friend changed location the eagle did too and continued to watch! Big Grin Only when my friend went away did the eagle move off . That after watching for TWO hours ! wave
So much for shy fragile eagles !!

Probably waiting for a free feed based on his experience.

In the past, might have got a few free feeds by hanging around machines, tractors etc and so decided to see if another free feed came along.

Eagles over here do it with hunters, they learn that their is a free feed of the offal by following the hunters and the of course some hunters leave a duck / rabbit or two for them which just confirms in their mind that humans = food.

The eagles solved his goose poop problem when they found that goslings made nice snacks !
One winter I was shoveling snow when an eagle called from about 300 yds away .That winter I noticed that every time I shoveled snow it was the same , the eagle called .I then started to return the call !! Roll Eyes

Goslings would make a nice snack for an Eagle.

Their is an Eagle here that comes down and sits in a tree when a mate goes Rabbit hunting. He used to feed on the offal but the hunter now leaves a rabbit on a fence post for him/

As a result he gets some great photos of the Eagle in the trees or Gliding.
