grandpanew tikka 243
Just shot my new rifle today very happy after 4 rounds shot a 1 inch group. That's about as good as I can do.at 200 yards it open up to 3in . But still I was happy the best I Dido at 200 was with my 223 with 75gn hornadys 1 and a quarter. I also shot well with the 25/06. But I really like the tikka so far

Cliff LyleNothing wrong with that. The Tikka is a great rifle and one I believe is a bargin for the price.

carpetman1Is this the .243 for the grandson? Will he really get to shoot it lol? What weight bullet? I use 100 grain Winchester bulk packed and they do the trick on deer.

Rub LineMy son has the same rifle/cartridge combo. Excellent choice for a young shooter. Actually it's a nice choice for any shooter. I just loaded up some Barnes TTSX's, hopefully we'll get to try them out on whitetail this weekend.

You will love the results with that bullet. It's what I use. Hit's like a 7mm or 30 cal. pure amazing

Cliff LyleKen,
Do you shoot factory ammo or handload the 85 grain TSX?
