All of mine have a 1-piece Base. Reason being the older M7s only had " 1 " Rear Base Hole. Don't remember when they changed to 2 Rear Base Holes, but it has been awhile.

I believe the "New Profile" now fits the M700 SA Base Set, but that could be Full-of-Beans.

They've always been a challenge to mount bases on, due to the extremely short rear receiver ring. I don't like 1-piece bases, but mods might be necessary to do Talleys or other 2-piece bases.

I have Tally's on two 7's and Weaver one piece on a 7 and three 600/660's..
I much prefer the Tally's...
I should note that they are Talley Lwt.

I have Talley's on my Model 7 and I like them.

I started a thread on the Gunsmithing forum regarding Gentry 2 pc bases for the older 3 screw Model 7. Does Talley make a 2 pc base for the old 3 screw receiver?

I have used Warne QD'd on several Mod7's with excellent results.

Warne bases and rings here also.

Thanks guys, by the way, any of you running the new x-mark triggers, or aftermarket? Wondering what options are preferred besides a Jewell.
