Blair338/378Any rumours of Barnes Introducing a Tipped TSX in 22 caliber this year
A 70 TTSX grainer would be a sweet thing

TEANCUMDon't know anything about rumors on the Tipped TSX for duece duece calibers.
Their web site starts the Tipped selection at .277 so at least for the short run it looks like we'll be doing withouth the poly tip. I think the the Tipped is just the TSX with that tip; so one would wonder how much more effeciency that tip would make in the bullet flight??

30378It would probably be the 53 grainer. They are not going to make a 30cal 180gr TTSX because of length. Same thing happens with the 22cal 70gr. Adding a tip would make it marginal even in a 1 in 9 twist.

Blair338/378TEANCUM,
Sounds logical, but I'll be damned if I didn't see a 180TTSX listed on their website, last time I looked

30378OOps! I stand corrected. They do make the 180gr TTSX. Lady at Barnes told me early last year they were not going to make them.

M 98that is correct, barnes will not be making a tipped tsx , reason being that it will not stabalise in the many 30 cal 1:12 twists barrels.....i think thats a pretty poor reason.
i still belive there is a lot to be said for a thing called BULLET MASS, i have found heavier bullets break bones much better than the lighter stuff of the same cal, and that is a advantage im more than happy to have
