A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him "Why do you carry a 45?" The Ranger responded, "Because they don't make a 46."

My BSA has a 1-10 twist as I figured I would never want to use anything heavier than a 129 Hornady. It evolved into a 260 AAR and has been that way since. It shoots the 140 VERY good too but I get adequate penetration and expansion with the lighter bullets and better velocity and trajectory. Great round with little recoil and terrific performance.

Had my Steyr ProHunter out to the range yesterday, so had a chance to check the twist. 1 in 8.75" Must say it really likes 130g Accubonds and RL 19, 3 in 5/8" at 100. Two were touching. This will be this years deer round.
