Help...Remington 223 magazine length?
Hi Guys,
Can anyone tell me what the internal magazine length is on a Remington chambered in 223?
I'm trying to figure out if I can get the 6mmBR loaded with a 105gr to fit with out having to remove the magazine blanking spacer.
Thanks in advance.

Mine measres 2.325" more or less, but there's also a 3/8" thick sheet metal spacer at the back of the magazine.

Remington 700's are built on an action DESIGNED for the 308win/7.62NATO cartridge.

You can swap out the magazine box and follower
with $40 worth of parts from Midway or elsewhere.

The bolt face on the 6BR is the same as 308. So the bolt would either have to be opened up or replaced.

Hi Guys,
It's actually a Remington Model 7 chambered in 7mm08. I have a 6mm barrel on hand & looking at fitting the 223 mag spacer in the existing mag & shortening orriginal follower to shoot the 6mm Br round. I was just wanting to see if I had enough length to seat a berger VLD to keep it out of the shoulder donut and still make the 223 mag length.
Thanks for your help.
