Is the 20 ppc case just a necked down 6ppc or is the case dimensions different? If they are the same can you use a 6ppc full length sizing die with a neck bushing to fit the 20 ppc?

We stock Redding & Wilson 20 PPC dies. They have smaller decap stems and work correctly. I'm in the process of building a 20 PPC which should be done shortly. I'm very excited about it , the 220 Lapua brass is very close to twenty caliber out of the box and should move the hot 33 gr. Hornady V-Max bullet at 4400 fps! (this is in a strong action with a 24-26 inch barrel) We stock about anything for the 20 calibers. Hope this helps.

I have one on order form Virgin Valley. I have not bought dies yet but I will contact them and get the specs. That would be a great way to go. Mine is the tight neck will have to check to be sure what the exact size is. A custom bushing would be great.

Todd,
Please post or email me your results.
I'm about to build one. I'd be interested
in powders used and velocity.

Do you have to neck turn yours?
I'd like a reamer built so neck turning
isn't nesscerary with the Lapua brass.

Thx.

Thx. for the info. I've all ready ordered
a barrel from Shilen. Gonna talk to the
Gun smith about ordering a custom reamer
from PPG. I have two calibers I have to neck turn for now I don't want to neck turn
this gun if possible.
