surpressed 22 hornet
Any body put a can on a hornet, I have a rimfire can rated to 5.6x28 comeing. I think if I keep it sub sonic it should work well.

I did it on a 14" contender barrel. It was no real advantage to me over just a 22 LR shooting subsonics at prariedogs but it did work well and was just as quiet.

Trailboss loads are pretty much the same, on my 24" barrel, you can barely hear the shot 50 yds away

Shooting cast bullets in them reduces them down pretty good.

Is that with or with out a can installed.

Try any lead cast/swaged 45gr. bullet (I've used copper-plated bullets, too) w/5 grs. of Unique; crimp w/LEE FCD.

With nothing installed, I use small pistol primers as well

I have posted this before: 0.5 grain of AA #2 and a small pistol primer. I use a cotton pellet over the powder to keep it against the primer, and shoot an unsized and tumble lubed Lyman #225107 bullet in my K Hornet. One hole at 25 yards, and the NEF just "clicks" when the firing pin hits. The only drawback is the cotton sticks in the barrel and must be blown out between shots.

At the moment, my all time super quiet load is 1.5 grains of Trailboss, pistol primer and a 55grain lee cast bullet. In my moderated 527 they are so quiet a friend standing 20 feet away could barely hear them. Used for dispatch shots on cage caught foxes

I have one on mine but it does need to have the baffle arrangement changed as there is still some muzzle blast although much reduced. A 223 with a can sounds like a 22lr with a can firing HV ammo. Not so my hornet.
