Can't forget about the little guys. What would you like to see more of? More chamberings for 6.8's or others?

Factory PPC brass, useable in factory chambers with no neck turning. Lapua would be ideal, Norma would be great, but even lesser brass would be attractive.

I wish the 6m/m and 280 Remington, along with the 257 Roberts, were more than cult status cartridges. Ruger has done their part to keep them alive, I wish big red and big green would also. Those of us that use them appreciate their virtues, and I'm sure the general public would too.

I wish for Remington to field a SS Mountain Rifle with detachable magazine in 6mm Dasher.

I'm with Buckshot on this one and additionnaly the 6.5x55, 7x57 and the .284 need some attention. Why are we cranking out new stuff that doesn't really surpass some of the oldies that are falling by the wayside. Keep the .257 Roberts alive in a handy light rifle ( and all the others he and I named too.) instead of a .25 WSSM that only holds 3 rounds.

Roger that on the 6.5x55 and 7x57, the latter being my all-time favorite. I'm still confused by how the short magnum craze caught on. They all duplicate a round chambered in long action rifles, yet there is almost no saving in rifle weight for the rifles chambered for the short mags. Somehow simply getting a shorter powder column doesn't strike me as a reason for the duplicity.

Can I add a second wish (do I get three altogether??)?

If yes, that Nosler started producing a 120 grs Accubond in .264 cal.

Don't see anyone going for a bolt action 250-3000 or a 6.5X54. That's my want list for the new year. I'm almost certain of the first but might have to do a close wildcat on the second. roger

More 250-3000s less 243 winchesters. And while I hare to be practical... why not the 270 savage? what a sweet cartridge.

What was Remington thinking when they brought out the wonderful looking CDL and then chambered the .223 only in the Left Hand model?
That's what I'm wishing for I guess. A right handed .223; maybe .204 in the CDL. In my opinion what the BDL should have looked like 25 years ago! Gun life must still be great if this is my biggest gripe. A good time of the year to be thankful not only for the gun freedoms we enjoy, but wishing for all the great new toys ta' boot! jp

More 6mmREMINGTONS, 25-06 REMINGTONS,.260REMINGTONS from anybody!! And a few .257 Roberts thrown in the mix would not hurt!!
And why didn't REMINGTON bring out a ".257SAUM" or a "6.5 SAUM"!!!???? Either one would be a hit!! Especially the 6.5 version!! They let Winchester bring out the WSM's ahead of their SAUMs and got left in the dust by the gun rag writers and the "gonna get the next hot thing" group!! And the SAUM design will prove in the long run to be a more usable design than the WSM's!! May take me 20 years to see the results of my prediction but it will happen!!! GHD

I'd be in for a 6.5 Accubond regardless of weight. Also I'd like to see the 20 VarTarg come out of the wildcat closet. While we're at it, the .22 Carbine would be a great chambering for a CZ 527, 77/22, or Anschutz 54. Finally, I'd like to see the 6.5X68 case necked up to .270 with slightly less body taper. Could be the next great introduction from Ruger.

A Remington Seven in 6.8 SPC would be nice but a CZ527 in 6.5 Grendel from the factory might be nicer.

While we're dreaming a flyweight takedown single shot along the lines of the Stevens Favorite chambered for the Hornet, 25/20, 270 REN, 32 H&R or sumsuch might be fun.

Gabe, presumably you know that Dakota/Nesika have ordered a bunch of Lapua brass, amongst which is the 20 VarTarg. They did the same thing for 6mm PPC.

This thread, Benchrest Central Thread deals with the purpose of buying the rights to the PPC name, and ordering all that brass. According to Richard Spruill of Nesika:

How about a Weatherby Vanguard in 240 wby mag, 270 wby mag? Put 26 inch barrels on them.

A Remington CDL in 260 Rem with a 24 inch barrel.

Accubond in 115 grain for the 6.5mm cartridges.

Interbond in 115 grain for 6.5mm cartidges.

Both in 90 grain for the 6mm cartridges.

Someone have the guts to standardize the 6mm-06, 6.5-284, and 25-284 cartridges.

264 win. mag ammo and rifles.Ammo for 6.5x55 and 260 rem.with more choices( and hotter loads for the swede).

I would just like see to Nosler bring back the good ol Solid base in in the 6.5 in 120gr.

A CZ 527 American in .17 Remington, or better yet .17 Mach 4.

Get rid of the 43 and 6mm. Replace then with a 6mm-3000; a perfect varmint rifle that can take the occasional deer.

Next, start chambering the 250-3000 and 257 Roberts instead of the 243 and 6mm.

More factory 6mm BR would be nice too.

I really would like to see the 25 souper get a run. It has a better selection of 85-120 gr bullets than the 260 and thus would be ideal for antelope and deer-size game, all with Bob+p performance without the short action OAL or AI fuss.

If not the previous, then how about a few more bullet choices for the 6.6mm in the 105-115 gr range. Accubond?
