First nosler 48 Rifle
I picked up a Nosler 48 Patriot in 6.5-284 a month back. I finally got time to go shoot and, What a rifle! I loaded 120 and 123 grain Hornady A-Max, 130 grain Accubonds, and 130 grain Berger VLD Hunting. All 4 shot holes touching with the widest group going 1" outside to outside! That was the VLDs and they were a little under pressure with sooty cases. The trigger on this gun is a perfect 3 pounds and breaks cleanly. It is light for a 24 inch barreled sporter and shoulders very comfortably. For the money, it may be the best rifle I have ever just popped out of the box and shot. I will be loading Partitions, Sierras, and TSXs next as well as the VLD with a bit stiffer charge and see if there is anything this gun won't shoot. Oh, I also shot the 123 A-Max at 200 yards and cut out a hole 1.2" wide with 10 shots (2 sets of 5 with 10 minutes in between). Does anyone else shoot one of these?

Post a pic. Let's see the rifle. I love the looks of the Nosler 48.

A friend of mine is a dealer for them, and speaks highly of the Nosler rifles. They come in some great calibers as well.

I picked up a N48 Patriot in 7-08 a couple of months ago, just in time for deer season. To say it's accurate is an understatement, and I believe at $1300 it's a very good value. sub 3/4" groups and 140 accubonds, partitions, and 120 BT's with several different powders are the norm for this very well done rifle.

I still haven't figured out picture posting, but I may have to spend some time trying. Playing with the Bergers some more and wow. My 5 shot groups at 100 yards look like Cooper 3 shot groups at 60! 53 grains of RL19 lit with WLR primers from a Norma case just a C-Hair off the lands and it seems like the gun shoots itself. I was shooting the tops off the clothes pins on the target frame at 250 yards without wrecking the spring. I have to get another one just to see if I got lucky or they are all this good.

Nosler Custom Sporter, 325 WSM.

While the Nosler action may be similar to the Howa action, according to Nosler, their model 48 actions are proprietary.
