Krico Range report
Got to the range today with the 1957 Krico .222
I was shooting at 100 yards, using Hornady Factory VX 50 grain ammo. Scope was a older 4x
Redfield. Post and Crosshair.

I have a catalog around here somewhere from the Eighties with Krico in it - maybe with Beretta or Sako? It always looked like a good rifle, and I've always thought the .222 Rem was the pick of the litter, too. Any chance you can post a pic of the rifle?

I've had two Kricos in the past, one a 22 Hornet which shot very well and was very similar to an Anschutz action, and the other which I still have is a 222 Rem Mag. That one I haven't played around with very much, but the it seems to be acceptably accurate. This one is much different than the Hornet as it's barrel is actually threaded into the receiver vs. a shrink fit. Nice guns, and neat triggers (mine are double set).

Shoot straight, shoot often.

My Krico is one of the ones made Brno and is a mini mauser action. Elmer

These old Kricos are *beautiful* little actions. I would love to see one converted to a tack-driving 7,62x39 rifle (or 5,6x39, for the snobs ;-)).

The target version of the Krico in .222 Rem is still quite popular on the ranges here in Central Europe, although no longer manufactured or sold (?). Nice rifles.

Yes, mho, but these later ones are totally different and downright ugly actions. :-( Pheww.....

Had an opportunity to shoot the Krico again and with the Hornady VX 40 grain moly.
