Re: 22-250 can't get it in need help
I have had the same problem with several guns all different brands. I think its in the mounts. Like the other gentlemen have
said to shim the rear mount, the only problem with that is it puts the sope in a bind. Try reversing the rings, I've seen them
different heights by a few thousands. Try some Sierras in that too, I just worked up a load trying all kinds of Hornadys and Noslers.
It just didn't like them so I tried some 55 grains Sierras I had laying around and bingo 5/8". Go figure.

I would like to say hi I am new here.
I just got a howa 1500 22-250 about 5 months ago I put a tasco varmiter scope on it I know not the best but it works great on my 223 anyway I have loaded 50, 52, 55, and 40 all of them hornady and I have worked with different charges in all of them and the gun will not shoot on for anything I have leupold mounts on my scope and everythin.
The scope its self has a ton of adjustment but it is still shooting about 4 to 5 inches low at 100 yards and the scope is fully adjusted.
Do I need a new scope or is it the barrel the gun is the varmiter with the heavy barrel I need help on this or the gun is gone. I just don't understand how the scope itself has around 3 foot of up and down adjustment together and I can't get it to come up enough to hit the bull like I said 4 to 5 inches low at 100. any advice would be great thanks.

don, if you have 2 piece bases they maybe reversed. try changing their postion. if that does not help. you can try putting shimm under the rear base. coke cans cut to fit work well. try a few and see what happens. their is a formula as to shimm thicknes to height it gives. if you see you need it contact me i'll look it up.
