Where can I find a list by year of serial numbers for the Savage 23D in .22 Hornet? I would like to know what year mine was produced.

They were made from 1933 to 1947. Check the Savage collectors forum at www.24hourcampfire.com

You might want to get a Savage factory letter for your rifle from the Savage historian, John Callahan. I think that there is a link at 24HCF for JC's contact information.
