REMINGTON .223 55 GRAIN FMJ UMC AMMO?

Hi,
I have a bunch of Remington Umc 55 Grain FMJ .223 factory ammo. It groups fairly well, threw my CZ bolt action .223.
Is this ammo ment for bolt action rifles?
Im just afraid that it might be military ammo?
I use it for practice on the range.

I have used this ammo in my bolt actions (actually in my R93) with no negative effects. The brass is standard Remington brass, the primer pockets are not crimped, I see no sign of the primers being corrosive, no indication of untoward pressures, seems to group fairly decently for factory FMJ loadings. All in all, I see absolutely no reason not to use it as cheap practice ammo. The cases can be reloaded like normal Remington cases...

Most ranges frown on FMJ ammo especially if there's a risk of fire due to dry conditions.

I use Black Hills and UltraMax soft points in my 223...cheap and accurate.

I load the Rem. 55FMJ for son' AR15, 20grs. RE7 wsr primer, works good for his use, not a very accurate bullet, 2.5" at 100yds. Jay
