Hi,

I´ve been recommended this caliber for an old Martini action and am wodering if anyone has experience with it. Bullet weights etc.

Legally underpowered for whitetail in Finland. You need a 100 grs bullet at about 2950 fps if you are to use a .243 cal rifle.
The requirements are a 6 grams (92,6 grs) bullet generating 2000J at 100m, or an 8 grams (123 grs) bullet generating 1700J at 100m.

My gunmaker here in denmark has a slick doublerifle in 6x70...absolutly pretty.

The 6x70R looks nice but since it´s underpowered for deer then I think I´ll be going with the 30-30. This is not in any sense a rook rifle cartridge but I´m trying to be a bit practical...

If we had more roebuck around here it would be a different story.
