I'm anxious to see the reason for the poll. When you gonna let us in on it?

I voted H&H. I mean a classic double chambering in a class original maker of such firearms. That said, any of the custom double rifle makers would have been my answer as well.

I am dreaming of a Searcy right now so that was my choice. Easy. I wish they still had the underlever on the website. Now which caliber...

Just a good ole Ruger No.1 from the custom shop would suit me fine.

My other is Sako, even though I can roll down the mountain into the Savage factory.

I've been waiting for a Kel-Tec RFB for a couple of years, they have JUST started making it out of the factory. GunBroker has had three. The MSRP is $1,800. The 3 guns went for 2800, 3000, and lastly 3500. I don't think they're going to get cheaper, or less rare.

Gerry,
Just got a K95 Stutzen in 308. Last week I found a .222 bbl and a .243 stutzen bbl for sale on gunbroker.com and bought them...yeah, I know, I've lost my mind.

Absolutely ANY rifle?

I'll take an H&H Presidential Grade double rifle in, well, ideally .416 Rigby.

Optional calibers would include .470 Nitro, 500 Jeff, 600 NE, 700 NE, .22 Hornet...whatever!

One day I WILL own a big double. Most likely in .470. But I WILL own one!

Regards,

Robert

I won, will take a Searcy in 700NE, might as well take advantage of this offer, they only go for ~$85,000- that is a small caliber in relation to a 105mm, Waidmannsheil, Dom.

Since it's free I went with the H&H. I figure I can sell it and buy one of each of the others listed, except the Savage. I here they give those out with the purchase of a Happy Meal. Big Grin

Just for laughs I voted Savage. The Model 12 Long Range Precision Varminter in 204 is the most accurate rifle I've ever owned. I'd get another one in 22-250 and re cut the chamber for 22-243 Improved.

Vdog, that is an interesting poll...
Much as I love looking at pretty rifles (and I've owned a few) I buy rifles to use - not look at.

Where I hunt (Outback Aus) a pretty rifle is a PITA....

I guess my username says it all.

And before anyone gets high and dandy, I own a pre 64 Winnie Supergrade 243, a '92 Bee, and a few others that I can't think of off the top of my head... plus other brands, but no Remmies.

Wish I'd kept my 788 in 6mmR, much better than the 700BDL I replaced it with..
