I guess my choice now would be a low wall Browning.

James Calhoon at Calhoon Rifles in Havre Montana makes a dandy single shot follower.

"If a man buys a rifle at a gun show and his wife doesn't know it"...Did he really buy a rifle?

That's nice. Now, does anyone offer a conversion for the backward-operating safety?

For something that not everyone else has, Cabelas has a falling block double rifle in 22 Hornet made by our own Bailey Bradshaw. Elegance in wood and metal.

I have a Contender carbine with a factory SS 21" barrel 8X AO Leupold that does a pretty good job for me. I have a early Low Wall with a K Hornet barrel and 12X Unertl. The Winchester gets kind of heavy out and about compared to the TC.

I have my eyes open for a bolt Hornet but have not run into the right rifle yet.

I find it a little odd that you have such erection for the 527 safety, surely a smart guy such as yourself would be able to easily operate a 527 and enjoy it. FS
