question on bullet weight and twist rate in 6PPC
i just became the owner of a 6PPC with a 1:10 twist barrel. what do you guys think is the heaviest bullet it will stabilize. i would like to be able to shoot 100 grainers but that may be asking too much. info is appreciated.

1:10 is the standard twist in a 243 and stabilizes 100 grain bullets nicely. Should do the same in the PPC.

thanks for the reply. i'm going to give the 100 grn bullets a try. i'm not sure if a 10 twist will do it at the lower velocity of the PPC but i'll find out.

If you use short cup-and-core bullets they should do 'okay' at max PPC velocity. Not so sure about the HPBTs and Nosler BTips though.

FWIW, Speer tested their 90-grain bullet in a 1:12" PPC and it gave great accuracy.....
