.257 Roberts Question

Guys, I just picked up a Ruger in .257 Roberts. I have loaded up some 100 grain TSX bullets. I would like to try some 120 Noslers or Speers as well. The rifle has a 1/10 twist. Will it stabilize the 120 grain bullets?

No problem with 120's at that twist. 117 gn Sierras or 100 Nosler Ballistic tips were always my favorites.

My Kimber is 1 in 10 and I've had no issues with 120s. I've pretty much settled on 115 NBT or 110 Accubonds for mine. It did shoot 120 Hornady and Sierra HPs well. The 115 NBT is a great bullet and performs very similar to the 110 Accubond. It holds together very well for a CNC.

I tend to use more than enough gun

Remmie M7MS here in .257 Bob. Great cartridge - i'm sure you will do very well with it.

I run 46.0 gr. of H4350 under the 100 tsx or 44.0 of H4350 with the 117 SGK. Both are excellent performers.

YES!

I've also got a Ruger in .257Roberts and it's one of my favorites. Not finicky to load for at all. I have tried several powders but IMR4350 is a great place to start.
