308SakoIn a 1 in 10 twist 6/284
Do you think a Sierra 107 MK would stabalize when pushed to its' highest possible velocity?

FjoldI've shot 100 grain bullets out of a 1:10 twist with no issue. I realize that the SMK is a lot longer but I think it would do fine.

Winchester 69I'm looking at a twist table that says for a 6mm 107MK, 1:8 is needed.

hivelosityin my 1:10 26" 243AI 95gr bullets were as heavy as I could go.
With the 100 and the 105's groups opened up to about 1 1/2" at 100 yrds.

308SakoI guess it is just a matter of trying them and finding out if they want to fly (straight & true.) I have exeprienced more than one case where bullets shot extremely well when marginally stabilized. Case in point was a 1 in 12 Remington 40X cal. 6Rem which would handle 90 Bergers above 4,000 elevation!
I just did a little math, and it seems that the 6mmBR will stabilize the 107's at 2700 ft/sec's or so. That's about 200K RPM, so I need to shoot at least 3100 ft/secs in the 1 in 10, and hope it works. I know it isn't quite that simple, but it is a place to start.
Mark D Thanks for the offer, and I'll trade some other usefull bullet's if they work out.

lofterThis is what I got from Sierra
No, it needs at least a 1 in 8" twist and we have had a few guys said they were
doing it out of an 8 1/2" twist but I wouldn't count on it .
