PlanemechHornady .257" 100gr. Interlock SP- expiriences wanted
Load development is going fairly slowly for "deer" loads in the .257 Roberts. The only loading at full power or "in stock" at home is my "practice" load a 100 Hornady Sp at 3075 fps from a 22" tube, this one is MOA. Anybody shot deer with these bullets?

POPPlenty of antelope at 3300-3400 fps from a Ruger #1 25-06.
All bang-flop.

Chris01I shot a couple mule deer with a .257Robt's using the 100gr Hornady SP Interlock at 2950fps. One was fairly close, the other was about 300yds. It's a good "deer" bullet.

PlanemechThanks POP, I just didn't want to have to try to get to the range before the opener Saturday to try to test out my TSX load after a powder lot switch or try to finish up the 100 partition load and have to face the boss as her to do list got slipped

PlanemechSo nothing fancy just solid plain jane kills and mushrooms? I can live very well with that! Nice mulie by the way. I saw a ton of nice one around O'Neill weekend before last. It'll just be a couple whitetail does over here.
