MontanaWhat about this????
Is there such a thing as, and there probaly is.
Take a 257Roberts AI and neck it down to 6mm.
Would this be any better or worse than 6-284.
Just wondering

swehrmanI belive it's called the 6mm Remington AI. As far as I know the 6mm Remington comes from the 7x57, and 257 Roberts comes from the 7x57 too.

GeorgeSScott is correct. This cartridge wont give the velocity of the 6mm-.284, but is fine for coyotes, antelope, 'chucks, deer & pigs (with ideal shot placement & premium bullets), and
bobcats.

Getting awful hard to come up with anything new these days isn't it?
I've had a few awesome streaks of innovative cartridge inventing, only to be shot down every time...

<Slamfire>If you don't get some newly designed cases that haven't hit the market yet, you can't think of a new wildcat. That said, there ain't much improvement in the 6mm Improved. Certainly not enough to put up with the extra expense of the smith and the trouble of formin' the brass.
