StonecreekCurious: Why the machined thumb cut in the LH side of the receiver for a stripper clip? Nostalgia for the 98 Mauser?

Jens, it is light and trim.
I knew that the 220 Russian was a very accurate cartridge. It is the case that we use to make our 6ppc brass. A friend, Gene Beggs, made a small change to the radius at the neck shoulder juncture to keep the cartridge from growing. This was the only weakness of the parent cartridge.
