Heavy's in a 243?
Anyone shooting 105, 108, etc.. out of a 243.

I have to check the twist on the Mannlicher. It likes 105s.

The Rem v700 not so much.

I shoot a 6mm WSM wildcat with 115 D-TAC bullets. Mine has an 8 twist. Helluva LR shooter!

None of the above really directly applies to you but I thought I'd chime in anyway.

A 108 in a 243 drops less than the "Highly" vaulted 6.5 creedmoor 140gr.

when comparing typical loads.

....which is almost irrelevant with a quality turret scope and a rifle that shoots great groups.

I don't care if someone likes the Creedmoor or not and I have nothing to gain by people using them but oh man, both of mine can shoot nice tight groups on my 600 yard gong.

I won't hunt with either the 243 or the Creedmoor and take a 600 yard shot on big game so it comes down to the individual rifle's accuracy and the scope it wears when punching targets or ringing gongs at that range and well beyond.

My 20 Practical is flatter than either of those yet there's not enough sound when it hits the gong to produce satisfying results, for me.

May we all continue to have the freedom to hunt and shoot and to shoot what we want.

I would like one of the Ruger Number One's with the 1-7.7 twist rate. Just to play with those 105's and 108's

Raw speed may not do it, my 6mm-284 is a rechambered 243 and will not stabilize a 107 grain VLD.
Very nice with 85-grain Partition bullets or 80-grain copper.

Im not a fan of the 243 or 6mm Rem, seen it fail too many times, Finn Aagard told me it killed very well indeed but he found that sooner or later it failed with solid body hits, thats what happpened with me it failed from time to time..and to each his own on such subjects, just go with your test of any caliber, not what others claim.
