Guys , I have co-worker that has a .220 swift that was gave to him that is been around a while....and he wants to know more about it . The only markings on the rifle are on the barrel which says " Bliss-Tate" the action , he says , has no distinguishing markings at all. I f any one can shed some light WE will be grateful.
Maybe Bliss Titus was involved in building the rifle????

flynbrianYou know , DMB , I talked to the old boy at work again and you were right it was Bliss Titus not whatever it was I said.Do you have any direction that you point me too??
Just did a Google search on bliss Titus and came up with the following book:
By Roy F. Dunlap
Published 1963
Stackpole Books
Gunsmithing
742 pages
ISBN:0811707709
Page 178 discussed Bliss titus. It would not let me cut and paste.
Bliss Titus - Nothing on p.178. Photo and info on p.38, 39. Heber Utah, barrel and rifle maker starting after WWI. Tool and die maker .In WWII worked for gov't arsenals .Developed into full time gunsmith .
Opps! Page 198. Sorry about that.
