Kudos to Powder Valley!!!
We all complain loudly when we feel we've been done wrong (me louder than most), so I figured I should sound off just as loudly when someone gives me "exemplary service"!
Long story short, I ordered 8,000 Remington 7 1/2BR primers from Powder Valley. Order arrives and there are 7000 7 1/2BR's and 1,000 9 1/2's.
I called em and without a moments hesitation the man says do you want a refund or the extra 1,000 7 1/2BR's ?
Without giving it much thought I stated I'd knda like to have the primers. "They're on the way he says. I asked what to do with the 9 1/2's I have way to many of already and he say's "keep em, too much hassle to get em back.
It wasn't till the next day it hit me, they are gonna have to eat the haz-mat and shipping to get me that 1,000 primers. I called em to cancel out and get the refund cause I already have a fair number of 7 1/2's and was told they were already shipped. They ate a $20.00 haz-mat + freight to rectify a small error and never whined once. I know where I do all my component business whenever possible!
Feeling a little guilty for not just taking the refund and truly impressed by the service I figured the least I could do was share the experience and let people know just how these guys take care of business!!!
Even though everyone "ought" to act like that darned few do and I figured it deserved recognition.

Well Doug,

I was going to put in an order for primers, say 5 to 10 K myself...

Even though there are several good sources for the primers... you just made me pick to run the order thru Powder Valley...

One always loves to do business with folks who still have integrity and customer service in their vocabulary...

another friend locally ordered thru them, and his order was not correct... they not only corrected it, but told him to keep the extra stuff they had sent him...

his response was to pay them anyway for the stuff that he kept, being a religious man...

we all need to get the word out on the "Good Guys"..

Powder Valley is about 15 minutes from my house. They do about 99% of their buisness on the internet, but they are great people to deal with is person also. I am lucky to have a source so close to home....WITH NO HAZMAT FEE!!!

Oops, didn't mean to gloat.

I placed my first order with Powder Valley two or three weeks ago and was expecting to get my stuff in a week to a week and a half. I ordered the stuff on a Friday and it was in my hot little hands on the following Tuesday.

They'll be getting more of my business as well.

Thanks for posting the positive review. I had heard of PV a long time ago but never investigated where they were. Then I found out that they are 50 minutes south of my in-laws and on the way from their house to my wife's other family in northern Arkansas. So, since she goes out there about 1x/year to visit, I just have her pick up my order and bring it home.

I just placed another order with them for some bullets. They are great!

Bullets are pretty worthless. All they do is hang around waiting to get loaded.

popcornNot to steal powder Valley's thunder , because they really are one of my favorites, but Mid South and their Varmint Nite Mares and Varmint Nite Mare extremes, are the best value in the maket place today. With the .224 cal bullets now on hand and what was ordered from Mid South this morning there should be a life time supply. Get Em while you still can afford to shoot. Eeker Frownerroger
