TIKKA VARMINTERS.......Anybody shooting them???
There is a TIKKA Varminter that came into the local shop in .223 that has a 1:8 twist barrel!! I'd just like to try it out and see what it will do with the heavier projectiles(up to 75 and 80) at a long ways off!! Do I need another varminter???NO!! But it's the intrigue of something different that is the guiding light in a rifleman's world!! The 222MAG 40X and the .204 will handle most anything I want to shoot but the fast twist .223 is inviting!! GHD

I have played some with an older Tikka 595 in a heavy barrel .222rem. This rifle had a moderator on board and was scarily accurate, and very quiet. The guy who owned it could head shoot foxes out to 200 yards at night with a spotlight.

Tikka rifles are almost always sub moa with factory ammo, and usually half that with a good handload.
