kiwiwildcatAdvice on Left Hand .243's
A girl friend of mine is after a brand new left hand bolt action 243 Winchester. What do you guys recommend? I am looking for a twist of no slower than 1:9.5, could be either blue/walnut or stainless steel / synthetic. Barrel length to be 22 inch.
Cheers,
Michael.

Cliff LyleKiwi,
I just happen to be in Wellington tonight. If she has the ideas of shooting more, let her look at the Blaser R93 Professional. Switch Barrel, loads of caliber choices, left hand friendly, trigger breaks like a peppermint stick, accurate beyond your wildest dreams.
Or you could get her a Savage.

I kid..
I own the R93 and it's the most accurate rifle I've ever owned.
But there is a great Browning A-bolt micro hunter that might fit her well, and it's a very good rifle.
Ruger, Remington, Savage, ER Shaw, all make a really good rifle, Left Hand, in 243 and accurate.

Ken Clineall depends on the budget.
If you want the one of the finest on the lower end of the price scale with the absolute best trigger and accuracy guarantee, look no further than the Tikka T3.
Or, if you want to spend more, and have a beautiful gun to look at, check out the Cooper 54.
Since you're in NZ the Tikka or Savage would probably be the easiest to get. But, see if you can find a left handed Zastava Mauser.

Unalakleet YooperI don't know about the availability there, but I would have your girlfriend shoulder as many different guns as possible to find one that fits her the best. My wife ended up picking a youth model Remington as that was the one she was the most comfortable with.

Chuck NelsonHere is a LH 1-9.25 twist CDL I threw in a McMillan compact. It will stabilize everything from 55 gr BT's to 105 A-Max's and anything in between. It's a tack driver as well.
