6.5 Grendel
24" fluted Hart barrel, cerrecoat. The stock was on a mini in 22-250, hogged out for an octagon in 7mmbr, then hogged out again for this heavy barrel. this may be a single shot if I can't buy bottom metal.

the next stock

I am having one built myself. When are you going to get a chance to shoot it?

Handsome rifle, Rich.

Why the 6.5 Grendel and not the 6.5 Creedmoor?

Good question. The 6.5 Grendel shooters I know are using the cartridge in semi autos. It fits within AR10 magazine boxes (maybe AR15?). If I were to use a standard action bolt gun, I would opt for something different.

AR is in the works. The Creedmoor is too long at 2.8+ The mag box in the mini mauser is 2 1/4+,- This was originally a 7.62x39 rifle.

Shot a few 3 shot 1 holers with Wolf Gold. Was a bit hot today. I got 4 in the magazine and it fed fine but it was tough getting them all in.

Well how did it shoot? Mine started life as a 7.62x39 also.

The old man and grandma are gone. Harry runs the place. There are no numbers down range to match up with the benches and there are about 6-8 backstops missing from the 100 yd range.

Good news is there are 2 "official" range offices running the line and a few new wood benches. We actually bring our own stools.

My God as well, I shot there in the 1970's!

Good to see it is still possible.
