2200
Help, is 2200 any good in 17 Ack Hornet, 17 Mack IV and the 17 HeBee? If so, what starting load. I have 8#'s and am having a hard time finding info.
Thanks

<Dan C>Brooks, I've used a bunch of 2200 in the 17 Ackley Hornet. It's nearly perfect for this case. With 20 gr. bullets, I went up to 14.2 gr. but settled on 13.8 for a working load. About 3750 fps in a 24" bbl.
I've heard of people using it in the Mach IV, but it seems quick for this case. But hell, I know a guy who uses 4227 in his M4!

Hey Dan, thanks for the info. I have a 17Ack Hornet coming from Rampro. will try it in the new gun. I have a 22 Hornet and 17 Squirrel so if it is good in the 17 Ack Hor it should be good in the Hornet.
thanks again

StonecreekI found 2200 to be usable but a little slow for .22 Hornet, but it should work nicely in .17 Hornet.

matt salmAnyone have any experience/data with the 17 Ackley Bee? I'm almost finished with a Martini Cadet project and need some starting data for fireform/reloads. What would the velocity run also (21.75" barrel)
