Dthfrmbv.243 Win & 85gr TSX
Does the Barnes TSX bullet perform just as well in the .243 caliber as it does in the .30 caliber? Effective on deer size game? Minimal exit wounds on larger predators?

Yes, they are very effective. In fact the combo you are mentioning is my favorite for some long range hunts in deep patagonia. On red stag's does it's a sure killer.

GerryI wouldn't hesitate to use them on North American Deer - here in the Fatherland . 243" is illegal for "large" Game i.e., Fallow, Red, Wild Boar.
I've used them on Roe Deer, and O.K. they're pretty small by US standards.
Minimum blood shot meat, a 1" exit wound is large and complete (broadside) penetration on every animal, virtually all were bang-flops, the one or two that survived the inital death ray, took perhaps one or two staggering steps.....
