Win model 64 25-35 Value?
Buddy of mine has one of these that was purchased new by a relative in 1943/44? Serial # is 133XXX which shows 1943 to 1948.

He wants to sell it but is not a "gun guy" and I don't know enough to advise him on value. It is in good condition with no rust, good wood and has a williams peep on it.

Anybody have a rough idea of value?

We looked on Gunbroker and Guns Inter. with no real luck, any help would be appreciated.

From $300-$900 depending on condition and how factory original it is.

Thanks, it is very clean with the only mod being the williams peep. I have been doing a little more research and it looks like there is a premium for the 25-35 caliber.
Bottom line is it is only going to be worth what he can get somebody to pay him for it but I am thinking $700+.

JCS, the 28th edition Blue Book lists a Model 64 in 95% at $700, but with a 200% premium for 25-35, and 300% premium for .219 Zipper. As you probably know, NRA 95% looks to the casual observer like a NIB gun...much more critical than the % condition commonly used on the web when selling firearms. I also find that the "Blue Book" understates the actual resale value by 10-20%.

In today's market, I wouldn't sell it for less than $1,200.
